Enrolled in her first ballet class at the age of four, Lorraine soon added acrobatics, tap, jazz and spanish dance to her studies. Lorraine moved on to complete the teachers training program with Dance Educators of America, with advanced teaching qualifications. While pursing her dance education, she also studied Marketing and Business Administration at Brock University and Niagara College. While in university, she used her background in dance and expanded her knowledge of fitness to operate her own fitness and aerobics venture. Utilizing her practical, academic and performing arts background Lorraine soon co-founded Dance Designs Dance Studio. In our community, Lorraine has been a supporter of various organizations providing dance education and choreography for festivals, fundraisers, service groups, special interest groups, talent shows and various charitable events. Lorraine continues to broaden her knowledge of dance by attending workshops, clinics and teachers training programs provided by organizations such as Dance Educators of America, Dance Educators of Canada, The National Ballet, Acrobatic Arts professional syllabus for acrobatic dance and other related programs. It has been Lorraine’s pleasure to provide dance education in Niagara for over thirty years. “Miss Lori’ looks forward to sharing her passion for dance with students in her 30ith year as the director of Dance Designs Dance Studio.
