Next season will mark 32 years sharing our passion for dance with our community. With our own unique brand of strength, patience, dedication, and encouragement, we have had the pleasure of teaching dance to thousands of students who have walked through our doors over the past thirty years and look forward to the next thirty with the same excitement and enthusiasm.
As always, we offer a wide range of classes for our students to choose from including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Hip hop and Spanish dance. We also have our specialty classes including our own original ‘Mini Movers’, our new parent assisted class starting at age one; ‘Creative Movement’, a favorite for our youngest independent dancers starting at age 2 ½; ‘Production’ for our intermediate and senior students who want more dance; and a new ‘Junior Contemporary’ class for our junior ballet students inspired by performances from our older Contemporary students.
Classes begin Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and its not too late to register. Along with student information forms, registration can be completed with cheque or cash and your choice of payment method including payment in full; two instalments or monthly instalments with postdated cheques. We believe it is our passion for dance and dedication to our students that has seen us through 32 years of dance education in Niagara.
At our school we believe that the study of dance is a building process. The more the student does, the more the student will understand. The more the student understands, the stronger the student’s technique will become. The stronger the student’s technique becomes the more success the student will experience in dance. Dancers are forever a work in progress. The world of dance is continually evolving, making the dancer a student of dance for life. Known for its artistry, dance is a very physically demanding sport. We encourage our students to practice, invest their time and energy in class and get ready to reap the rewards that will follow their commitment and dedication. Dance does do the mind, body and soul a world of good. Add in its inherent fun factor and you have dance at its best.
We offer several styles of dance for students to study and we encourage them to take all the classes they can, including the study of ballet. The study of ballet lends itself to a host of other benefits such as strength, poise, posture and grace that transcend the class and project into every day life. The study of ballet will directly benefit the dancer in all other forms of dance that they study. The cross training benefits are enormous.
Whatever our students plan to study, we challenge them to always do their best, come to class with a positive attitude and give it all they’ve got. We look forward to directing that energy toward our students’ personal growth while making this dance season another fun filled and rewarding one for all.
Yours in dance,
